Two of television’s most chaotic animated forces almost collided, and honestly, the world might’ve imploded if they had.
As reported by Comicbook.com, during San Diego Comic-Con 2025, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone joined Beavis and Butt-Head mastermind Mike Judge for a panel that sent the nostalgia crowd into meltdown. Among the revelations? The trio once considered a crossover featuring none other than Eric Cartman being babysat by Beavis and Butt-Head. Yes, that Cartman, in the care of two brain meltingly awesome metalheads.
The plan was floated in South Park’s early years, a time when the show was still finding its rhythm but already carving through the cultural noise with a chainsaw of satire. Sadly, the crossover never made it beyond the talking stage. In the age of reboots and resurrection however? Fans are clinging to hope like Kenny clings to life.
It really makes sense, both shows are in the midst of full blown revivals. Beavis and Butt-Head’s third season hits Comedy Central this September, still finding laughs in idiocy and viral video commentary. Meanwhile, South Park’s 27th season just dropped a nuclear grade roast of Trump’s second term, reigniting the show’s bite right on schedule.

The Future Is Bright
Off screen, the money’s flowing. Parker and Stone recently inked a $1.5 billion megadeal with Paramount Global, locking in 50 more episodes and securing Paramount+ as South Park’s streaming home. Judge, meanwhile, is warming up to a Beavis and Butt-Head live action flick. Looks like hell has clearly frozen over, what a time!
The crossover may never happen, but even the idea of Cartman outwitting two clueless ‘90s burnouts is enough to light a thousand memes. In this age of multiverses, who’s to say the craziest team up in TV history isn’t still waiting in the wings?
