The countdown is on for When We Were Young 2025, returning to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on October 18 and 19 with the same stacked line-up each day. Fans finally have their road map for the weekend, the set times are live, and a couple of last minute changes have shaken things up.
Organisers confirmed that Chiodos and Drain have jumped on the bill, replacing Sleeping With Sirens and Never Shout Never, who’ve dropped out ‘due to reasons beyond our control.’ For those who grew up screaming along to Craig Owens and cutting their teeth in the hardcore scene, that’s one hell of a trade off.
Decisions to be made
The four stage setup means fans will need to make some tough choices, over on the 7-Eleven Stage, blink-182 and Panic! At The Disco headline, with Panic performing ‘A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out’ in full to celebrate its 20th anniversary. They’re joined by Weezer, The Offspring, All Time Low, The Story So Far, Simple Plan, and Mayday Parade, basically the soundtrack to your Myspace profile circa 2007.
Across the grounds, the Pink Stage hosts a collision of nostalgia and aggression — Avril Lavigne, The Used, Knocked Loose, and Yellowcard share space with Destroy Boys and Boys Like Girls. Meanwhile, Bad Religion, Taking Back Sunday, and Alexisonfire dominate the Ghost Stage, and the Allianz Stage leans heavier with Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White, Beartooth, and Loathe.
If last year’s dust storms and long lines were any indication, this year’s biggest challenge won’t be the heat, it’ll be deciding which emo classic to cry to first.
