The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Drop Urgent New Single ‘Slipping Through (No Kings)’

Share

Two decades since ‘Face Down’ ripped through the scene with a bruising message about domestic violence, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are still swinging. Only now, their fists are aimed at the broader breakdown of America itself.

The band’s new single ‘Slipping Through (No Kings)’, out now via Better Noise Music, is a raw, politically charged wake up call. Following their recent announcement to ban Donal Trump supporters from their shows (details here)! Penned by frontman Ronnie Winter alongside producer Matt Squire (Panic!, Underoath, Sum 41)! Winter, who now lives in Los Angeles, pulls no punches: “My neighbors are disappearing. Families are being torn apart. Our community has reached a breaking point… They’re not strangers, they’re our loved ones.”

The Visuals

Set against a bleak animated world, the accompanying video follows two shell shocked kids. Namely – X boy and X girl, as they witness masked forces tearing their city apart. Eyes crossed out, mouths silenced, their only hope is rebellion. By the end, color bleeds back into the frame and the band’s flag is raised in the rubble, symbolising awareness, resistance and solidarity.

Take a look for yourself:

‘Slipping Through (No Kings)’ is the second taste of new material following 2020’s Emergency EP and recent single ‘Home Improvement’ (Relive that below).

With over 1.5 billion streams under their belt and a legacy carved from gold and platinum records, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus show no signs of softening.

The track will appear on a new full length album, due later this year via Better Noise. If this single is any sign, the gloves are off and the message is louder than ever.
