Miss May I are back with fresh firepower. The Ohio metalcore staples have unleashed their new single ‘Pray For Silence’, a track that sees the band lean into honesty, heaviness, and the kind of melodic punch that has kept them a scene fixture since the late 2000s.
The single is a storm of serrated riffs, breakdowns designed to rattle venue floors, and a chorus that soars above it all. Lyrically, it’s grounded in searching for peace in a world that feels like it’s permanently on the edge. “I don’t think we could have chosen a more honest and heartfelt song for our first release as the new lineup,” the band shared. “As life grows heavier and the world feels like it’s at a breaking point, this song captures something we all crave – some peace, even just for a moment.”

The return comes on the heels of last year’s reimagining of Apologies Are For The Weak for its 15th anniversary. That release saw the band re record their breakout debut in full, packing it with cameos from heavy hitters like Jake Luhrs (August Burns Red), Brandan Schieppati (Bleeding Through), and Scott Lewis (Carnifex).
