Hollywood Undead Tackle Toxic Faith In Raw New Single ‘Savior’

Share

Hollywood Undead have returned with a fierce new single, ‘Savior’ a snarling, slow burn anthem that tears into the corruption of organised religion with venomous precision. Dropping just nine hours ago via Sumerian Records, the track has already clocked over 43,000 views on YouTube and it’s easy to see why.

Musically, ‘Savior’ strikes a balance between brooding atmosphere and explosive aggression. It opens with a tension soaked crawl, clean guitars and eerie pads giving way to pounding drums and crunching riffs. Vocally, the band flip between pained melodies and razor edged raps! Keeping their signature blend of hip hop and hard rock as biting as ever. It’s not reinventing the Undead wheel, but it is sharper, darker and more lyrically focused than a lot of their recent cuts.

Lyrically, they’re swinging hard at faith weaponised for control. Lines like “Save me, I’m drowning in your disease” and “Your saviour’s got blood on his hands” don’t pull any punches. This isn’t spiritual reflection, it’s a middle finger to religious hypocrisy, delivered with blunt force trauma.

The Visuals

The video doubles down on that rage. Set against stark backdrops and doused in unsettling reds and blacks, it cuts between performance shots and imagery of the band. It’s theatrical, sure, but it nails the mood. Distrust, disillusionment and fury.

‘Savior’ follows the band’s 2022 album Hotel Kalifornia and while there’s no word yet on a new full length, this single hints that Hollywood Undead aren’t softening with age. They’re sharpening their knives!
