Hayley Williams Draws A Line Ahead Of 2026 Solo Tour: “I Don’t Want Racists Around”

Share

Hayley Williams is setting expectations early for her 2026 solo tour, and she’s not sugarcoating it.

As she gears up to take Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party on the road across North America and Europe next year, the Paramore frontwoman made it clear that her shows are built for people who believe in inclusivity, not those who show up with bigotry in their back pocket.

Creating space, and guarding it

In a new conversation with Clash, Williams said she wants her concerts to feel like a genuine safe space, but that requires being upfront about who those spaces are for.

I’ve always said, all are welcome at our shows. But I don’t want racists around, and I don’t want sexist people around, and I don’t want people there who think that trans people are a burden. I think that’s a hard line for me now.

She added that the atmosphere she’s building will naturally repel the people she’s talking about.

I hope it naturally happens that people who do harbour those harmful ideologies aren’t going to feel welcome, because they’re going to walk in the door and realise that the gang’s all here, all banded together around something positive.

Then she summed it up without blinking:

All are welcome if you believe all should be welcome… If you don’t believe that, you’re not welcome!

A tour framed by values

Williams launches the North American leg of her solo tour on March 28th in Atlanta, with dates stretching through New York, Nashville, and Los Angeles before crossing into the UK and Europe in June.

Her bluntness shouldn’t surprise anyone who’s followed her public stance over the last few years, she’s repeatedly spoken out about political issues in Tennessee, including turning down a state honour and calling out “blatant racism” in leadership while pushing young voters to care about equality.

Williams has also been open about how the scene treated her early in her career, particularly the scrutiny she faced online, and when some fans piled on Paramore in 2023 after illness forced postponements, she didn’t hesitate to clap back:

Don’t think for a second [that] your favorite bands – metal or punk or otherwise 0 endorse your weird incel ass lifestyle… So many of these bands have stood side stage at our shows and treat us with respect.

Her message heading into 2026 is just as direct: if you don’t believe everyone belongs, don’t buy a ticket.
