Delaware isn’t usually the first state that comes to mind when you think of hardcore, but Foreign Hands are making damn sure it’s on the map. Formed in Wilmington back in 2009, the five piece have grown from sweaty DIY basements into one of the sharpest names on SharpTone Records’ roster. Their sound hits like a bridge between hardcore’s revival and the metalcore explosion of the late ’90s and early 2000s, drawing influence from Poison the Well, Misery Signals, Hopesfall, and 7 Angels 7 Plagues.
The Current Line-Up
Tyler Norris (vocals), Jack Beatson (lead guitar/clean vocals), Gill Gonzalez (rhythm guitar/backing vocals), Chuck Minix (bass), and Tyler Washington (drums), deliver music that’s heavy, melodic, and deeply cathartic. Norris also pulls double duty in Wristmeetrazor, adding another thread of credibility to Foreign Hands’ hardcore pedigree.

From DIY Grit to SharpTone’s Spotlight
The band’s debut album No Funeral For The Spirit dropped in 2016, setting the tone for their chaotic yet emotional style. They followed with EPs like Fall (2017) and Bleed the Dream (2022), plus a split with Cast in Blood (Lapsed Requiems, 2019) that earned them underground respect. By late 2022, SharpTone signed the band and released Lucid Noise, pushing them to a global audience.

In 2024, they levelled up again with their second full length What’s Left Unsaid. The record felt like a statement, pairing unrelenting breakdowns with soaring melodies in a way that screamed old school metalcore without ever sounding stuck in the past.
Delaware’s Heavy Hitters
Foreign Hands aren’t just another East Coast band, they’re the proof that heavy music can thrive anywhere there’s passion and persistence. Their live sets are pure catharsis, sweaty, unhinged, and impossible to walk away from without bruises. For our American Road Trip, Delaware belongs to Foreign Hands. They’re loud, they’re unrelenting, and they’re carrying metalcore’s torch into the future.
