Testament are locked and loaded for Louder Than Life 2025, ready to deliver the kind of set that reminds everyone why they’re still kings of the Bay Area thrash scene.
We caught up with guitarist Eric Peterson, to dig into what fans can expect when Testament hit the stage in Louisville on September 21st. We also find out how the band keeps things razor sharp after all these years.
Eric didn’t mince words about prepping for massive US festivals. “Festival sets are about impact, we hit hard, keep it tight and give fans exactly what they came for: riffs, sweat and that old school thrash energy.” Testament’s Louder Than Life slot will mix the hits with deep cuts and Eric teases the possibility of something fresh for the die hards.
When it comes to staying relevant, Eric says it’s about passion and hunger. “There’s always going to be younger bands coming up, that’s the way it should be. But we’re not done. We’re still fired up to write, record and crush it live. That keeps us in the game.”
Do not stress Testament fans, new music is on the horizon. While no date is set, Eric assures us the follow up to Titans of Creation is coming.

Louder Than Life 2025 isn’t just another festival. It’s a pilgrimage for heavy music fans and Testament are ready to unleash chaos in Louisville. With a stacked lineup and Testament’s thrash fury in the mix, this year’s festival promises to be the loudest and most unrelenting yet. If you’re not already locked in, now’s the time. This pit’s going to be wild!
