Gavin Rossdale is a man who doesn’t slow down. Three decades after Bush first stormed the charts, the frontman is still releasing records, touring the world, and now, even stepping into the kitchen.
Their latest record, I Beat Loneliness, finds Rossdale digging into themes of isolation and resilience without shying away from the darker edges. It’s a brutally honest album title, and when asked about it, Rossdale doesn’t sugarcoat things. For Bush fans, the record balances the grunge roots of 16 Stone with the maturity of a songwriter who has lived through every high and low that rock ‘n’ roll can throw at you.
Dinner With Gavin Rossdale
Music isn’t his only outlet these days. Rossdale has launched Dinner With Gavin Rossdale, season one is now streaming on Vizio featuring guests Serena Williams, Selma Blair and more. What started as a passion for food has turned into a full fledged cooking show, where he’ll sit down with guests to talk life while serving up meals. Asked whether he’d swap stages for stoves full time, Rossdale laughs, but doesn’t entirely dismiss it.
Longevity is a recurring theme in his career. 16 Stone remains a defining record of the ’90s, and songs like ‘Machinehead’ still refuse to fade into nostalgia. “It’s wild to see it in Fear, then years later blasting as the theme at AEW’s All In in Texas,”. “That song just keeps finding new audiences.”
World Tour
Bush are currently on tour across the U.S. with Shinedown, playing arenas and festivals through early September. Whether it’s the crunch of ‘Comedown,’ the punch of the new record, or the promise of watching Rossdale whip up dinner on TV, Bush’s frontman is proving that longevity isn’t just about surviving, it’s about constantly creating.
