With the release of The Sky, The Earth & All Between, Architects drummer and founding member Dan Searle opened up to us about evolution, survival and surrendering control, both musically and emotionally.
Architects 2025 North American tour is underway, we caught up with Dan Searle to discuss everything it took to get them here. With over a decade of releases behind them, the band’s latest album, The Sky, The Earth & All Between, stands tall as their most fully realised body of work.
Described as the defining Architects record, The Sky, The Earth & All Between showcases a band in full command of their sound while still evolving. Production was handed over to Jordan Fish (formerly of Bring Me The Horizon), pushing the band into fresh territory, the result being a more spacious, focused record that balances emotional weight with clarity, and a sense of hard earned perspective.
Sonically, The Sky, The Earth & All Between continues the band’s trajectory of massive, melodic heaviness, but leans into something more refined. There’s a feeling of openness and catharsis running through the album, one that reflects maturity without sacrificing intensity.

Following two years on the road supporting Metallica, Architects have emerged with sharpened ambition and renewed vision. The grind to get here hasn’t been easy, they’re eleven albums deep and only recently began to truly break through in the U.S., but the payoff is finally catching up.
