Beavis And Butt-Head Return For Season 3

Share

Beavis and Butt-Head are back, and somehow, they’re still as gloriously dumb as ever. Season 3 of the revival has two new episodes available on Comedy Central. The episodes promise more carnage, more stupidity, and surprisingly more cleverness behind the curtain than anyone wants to admit.

For those who grew up with the original MTV series, the formula hasn’t changed much: two clueless teenagers (and now, sometimes, their older selves) blundering through life, cracking jokes, and making poor decisions that always come back to bite them. It’s lowbrow humour done with such commitment that it circles back around to genius.

The Run Down

This new run continues the split format introduced in earlier seasons. Each episode gives us one story with the duo as high school slackers, and another imagining them as washed up older versions grappling with adult problems like rent and failing health. That contrast keeps things fresh, teenage Beavis and Butt-Head still fuel the wild, juvenile energy, while the older versions add layers of humour rooted in grown-up disasters.

Music Videos

Of course, the music video and viral clip interludes are back too. It’s in these moments where the show takes its sharpest swings, letting both young and old versions of the pair deliver commentary that veers from idiotic to surprisingly observant. Get ready for more laugh out loud lines born from their sheer inability to process the world around them!

Mike Judge and his creative team have clearly found the sweet spot with this revival: staying true to what made Beavis and Butt-Head notorious in the ’90s, while expanding just enough to keep fans guessing. Cameos from classic side characters and new spins on the formula mean Season 3 won’t just be a rehash, it’s a chance to see just how far these two can go without ever getting smarter.

Everyone Wins

For long-time fans, it’s proof that stupidity never goes out of style, for newcomers, it’s an introduction to the most brilliantly brainless duo in animated history. Season 3 is set to deliver more of the same and that’s exactly the point.

Watch it Wednesday nights at 10:30/9:30c on Comedy Central.
