Ace Austin exits TNA after contract expires: What’s next for the X-Division standout?
After five years of flips, fights, and gold, Ace Austin is officially done with TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Wrestling. The high flying mainstay of the X-Division and one half of the crowd popping ABC (Ace and Bey Connection) tag team has parted ways with the promotion following the recent expiration of his contract.
Austin’s final match aired on the May 23 episode of TNA iMPACT!, where he squared off against Mustafa Ali. Behind the curtain, contract talks had been heating up but ultimately, the two sides couldn’t reach a new deal. Former TNA exec Scott D’Amore confirmed the split, calling it “mutual and amicable,” and praised Austin’s contributions since his 2019 debut.
And yeah Ace Austin, definitely made his mark.
Across his run, Austin stacked up three X-Division Championships as well as three World Tag Team titles alongside Chris Bey, delivering consistent bangers and becoming a centrepiece of TNA’s modern era and helping the promotion gain back momentum. Whether he was diving off the top rope or stirring sh*t with that slick magician meets assassin persona, Austin turned heads every time he hit the ring!
Now, he’s a free agent with momentum and a whole lot of options.
There’s no official word yet on his next move, but speculation’s already flying. AEW? Japan? A return to WWE’s orbit? Whatever comes next, the dude’s got the résumé, the mic game, and the in ring spark to fit just about anywhere.
For now, fans are left to replay the highlights and wait for the next chapter.
