Horror punk lifer Wednesday 13 has released a new video for ‘Rotting Away’, a standout track from his latest album ‘Mid Death Crisis’, out now via Napalm Records.
While he’s deep in the blood soaked chaos of his Summer Blood Storm Tour across Europe and the UK, Wednesday found time to put together a delightfully grim visual for the track, this time ditching the standard performance footage for something darker, funnier and a little bit weirder.
The video sees the frontman going full goth romantic, picnicking with a corpse in a black and white nod to Night of the Living Dead. He says the concept pulls from Tom Petty’s ‘Last Dance with Mary Jane’ and adds a dose of Weekend at Bernie’s style absurdity.

“I’m putting the fun back in funeral,” Wednesday explains. “I wanted something campy and different. I had such a great time filming it.”
‘Mid Death Crisis’ is the 10th full length in Wednesday 13’s catalogue and continues his tradition of mixing punk, metal and classic horror aesthetics into something uniquely his. ‘Rotting Away’ is one of the album’s more playful cuts, leaning into twisted humour without losing its bite.
Wednesday 13 is currently on the road with Fearless Vampire Killers and The Nocturnal Affair, hitting stops like Wacken Open Air and Poland Rock Festival. He’ll return in October for another EU/UK run under the Mid Death Crisis banner.
