We Came As Romans Announce New Album ‘All Is Beautiful…Because We’re Doomed’, Share New Single ‘Culture Wound’

Metalcore stalwarts We Came As Romans have announced their new album, All Is Beautiful…Because We’re Doomed,! This one is set to land August 22 via Sharptone Records. The news lands alongside a fresh single and video: ‘Culture Wound’, a crushing meditation on the duality of human nature.

Following earlier cuts ‘bad luck’ and ‘no rest for the dreamer’, this latest track dives into the conflict between our better angels and our darker impulses. It’s classic We Came As Romans featuring melodic hooks, weighty breakdowns and introspective lyrics, but refined. This time, it’s more philosophical. More raw. More deliberate!

“Culture wound is about choosing which version of yourself is going to win,” the band shares. “It’s about questioning whether we’re built to create or destroy. If we exist to serve something bigger than ourselves or just to survive.”

The track acts as a centrepiece for the upcoming record, which was shaped by two years of internal reckoning following 2022’s Darkbloom. Where that album processed grief, All Is Beautiful…Because We’re Doomed takes a wider lens, tackling loss, growth and what it means to keep going. The album loops from end to beginning, symbolising rebirth through decay.

Bad Luck World Tour

The band will support the release with the Bad Luck World Tour, kicking off July 22 in Toronto and wrapping August 23 in their hometown of Detroit, one day after the album drops. Festival slots at Warped Tour, Inkcarceration and When We Were Young are also locked in!
