Slipknot’s era defining debut album is getting the anniversary treatment. Set for release on September 5, the newly announced ‘Slipknot (25th Anniversary Edition)’ will drop via Roadrunner Records, offering fans the most in depth look yet at the album that flipped heavy music on its head.
Slipknot 25th Anniversary Reissue Details
This isn’t just a basic reissue. The deluxe box set digs deep into the band’s archives, collecting 59 tracks across six color vinyl LPs, including their notorious Indigo Ranch demos, live recordings and alternate mixes. 40 of those tracks have never seen the light of day until now!
Alongside the music, the package includes new artwork, nine exclusive photo cards and previously unseen images pulled from the band’s personal archives offering a behind the scenes look of 1999.

Slipknot ‘Prosthetics (Demo)’
One of the standout inclusions is the newly shared ‘Prosthetics (Demo)’, recorded before Slipknot entered Indigo Ranch with Ross Robinson. Fans can stream it now, offering a raw snapshot of the band’s early sound before refinement in the studio.
Collectors got a head start yesterday when Slipknot surprise dropped a blood filled vinyl edition, limited to just 100 copies. It sold out almost instantly, crashing their secretive fan site in the process. A wider 6LP box set, 2LP, and 2CD versions are available to pre order now.
