Slipknot are cranking the cryptic dial once again. As part of their ongoing 25th anniversary mayhem, the band have redirected fans from their previously teased site youcantkillme.com to a fresh domain: 742617000027.net and it’s as unnerving as you’d expect.
The new landing page greets visitors with a sinister phrase, ‘Worse forwards than backwards’ alongside a password prompt. Type in ‘Slipknot’ and the site snarls back: ‘You have nothing to contribute so stay the f**k out.’ Diehards on Reddit cracked the code, ‘comeplaydying’, a phrase buried in early Slipknot lore, specifically the Digipak version of their 1999 self titled debut.
Enter the password and you’re met with a warning: ‘You are being observed… your identity being marked for future contact.’ Lurking behind that threat is a blurred out image of Slipknot’s classic lineup, including Joey Jordison and Chris Fehn. Plus a countdown ticking to July 21, all soundtracked by eerie loops and throwback ambience!
The site’s URL references Slipknot’s instrumental opener ‘742617000027’, further fuelling theories that the band are planning to announce a 25th anniversary reissue of their legendary debut. Some speculate it could be an expanded edition, or even a full visual retrospective.
INKcarceration Festival
Slipknot’s next scheduled appearance is INKcarceration Festival in Ohio later this month, their only US show currently on the books. Whether the countdown is tied to a reissue, a surprise gig or something completely unhinged, it’s got Maggots everywhere frothing at the mask.
Mark your calendars for July 21. Something’s coming and it smells like Iowa sweat and vinyl dust.

INKcarceration runs July 19–21 at Ohio’s infamous Shawshank prison, with Slipknot headlining Saturday the 20th. It’s shaping up to be their most intimate U.S. appearance this year.
Tickets and full lineup are up now at inkcarceration.com get in before they’re gone, because this chaos is anything but quiet. According to the site, as of right now they are 99% SOLD OUT so get in quick!
