Slash and Myles Kennedy are plugging back in for a new record and a year on the road.
Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators have announced their fifth album, Flying Blind, due February 26, 2027 through Gibson Records. The title track is out now with a video filmed at Los Angeles’ Viper Room, and the band have mapped out a world tour that runs across Latin America, North America, the UK and Europe.
A Record Made In The Room
Flying Blind follows 2022’s 4 and brings the band back together with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette. Much of the 12-track album was recorded live at Studio Barbarosa in Florida, with Slash, Kennedy, bassist Todd Kerns, drummer Brent Fitz and rhythm guitarist Frank Sidoris playing together rather than building the songs piece by piece.
According to Gibson Records, the group completed most of the record in roughly a week, sometimes cutting two songs in a day. Slash described the result as “straightforward, down-to-earth and raw.”
The title track came together during pre-production. A new Slash riff gave the band a starting point, the arrangement took shape quickly and its hook eventually made it the obvious first single. The record also includes “Avarice And Greed,” “Good Time Girl,” “Looking For A Miracle” and “Here In Babylon.”
The 2027 Tour Is A Long One
The Flying Blind tour reaches North America in April. The itinerary includes two nights at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, the Beacon Theatre in New York, Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Boston’s House of Blues and Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium before the band heads to Europe in June.
Those dates are part of a run that stretches into late July, with shows and festival appearances booked from Santiago and São Paulo to London, Athens and Istanbul. General ticket sales begin October 9 through the official Slash website.
More than a decade into this lineup, nobody is treating the project like a side commitment. A quickly recorded album and several months of touring say the opposite: Slash and the Conspirators still work best when they get in a room, turn up and follow the first good idea.
