Sharon Osbourne paid silent but searing tribute to her late husband, The Prince of Darkness, during his public funeral procession in Birmingham, England on Wednesday.
Photos captured Sharon, 72, wearing a heavy gold ring, what many fans believe was Ozzy Osbourne’s wedding band, looped through a chain around her neck. Her face said what words couldn’t: devastation, devotion and the weight of 43 wild, world shaking years together.
Fans quickly clocked the detail. ‘Sharon Osbourne wearing Ozzy’s wedding ring in a chain around her neck while mourning him 😭,’ one user wrote on X. Another fan suggested it was the same ring Ozzy wore after their 2017 vow renewal, alongside his original wedding band from 1982.
While reps haven’t confirmed the ring’s origin, its symbolism wasn’t lost on those watching. Ozzy and Sharon’s relationship weathered infidelity, addiction and was very public, but endured. They tied the knot in Maui in 1982, renewed vows on The Osbournes in 2003, and again privately in Las Vegas in 2017 after a rough patch. ‘Every day with you in my life is a blessing beyond my wildest dreams,’ Sharon told Ozzy in that first renewal.
Wednesday’s procession brought the Osbourne clan together in solidarity. Sharon was joined by their children – Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, who each wore subtle tributes including round sunglasses, a cross pin, and a bat shaped brooch.
A smaller, private service is reportedly planned, where Ozzy will be laid to rest.

Ozzy’s passing was just weeks after his final performance with Black Sabbath, a charity event that raised over $190 million for charity.
Even in death, Ozzy’s presence was loud, etched into gold, stitched into wardrobe choices and etched into faces stricken with loss. Sharon didn’t need to say a word. The ring around her neck said it all.
