Ronnie Radke has reportedly filed for a temporary restraining order against Brittany Furlan, reigniting a highly public dispute tied to last year’s widely discussed catfish scandal.
According to TMZ, the Falling in Reverse frontman filed the request in Los Angeles on January 5th, seeking a court order that would require Furlan to stay at least 100 yards away from him. The filing reportedly alleges harassment, including repeated attempts to contact Radke through social media, a court hearing has been scheduled for January 23, 2026.
The legal move traces back to the catfish controversy that first exploded in May 2025, at the time, Furlan’s husband, Tommy Lee, posted “Who’s been catfished?” on Instagram.
Radke quickly responded on his own Instagram Stories, writing: “You been in a fake relationship with a catfish posing as me and that’s why you and Tommy Lee are getting divorced Brittany Furlan?”
Furlan later addressed the situation in a TikTok video, explaining that she and Lee had already been experiencing relationship issues when she began receiving messages from a Snapchat account claiming to be Radke, she said she continued interacting with the account, believing it to be legitimate.
Radke has consistently denied any involvement, previously stating that he contacted the FBI regarding the impersonation, over the weekend, Furlan resurfaced the controversy by posting Instagram Stories that included screenshots and renewed claims suggesting the impersonator may have been Radke himself.
Restraining order response
In response to the restraining order request, a representative for Furlan provided a statement to TMZ:
“We are aware of the restraining order petition that has been filed. The claims being made about Ms. Furlan are not accurate.” The statement continued, “Our legal counsel issued multiple cease-and-desist notices in May after what we considered to be a pattern of harassment, bullying and false public statements about her. Those notices were acknowledged but the behavior continued. Ms. Furlan will respond through the court process and hopes the matter can be resolved peacefully. No further comment will be made at this time.”
Furlan also shared additional posts detailing interactions with a mysterious Instagram account, alleging the account referenced personal information and sent messages including “miss you” and “madly”, she further claimed that when she attempted to reset the account password, the phone number digits appeared to match one she believed belonged to Radke.
In a longer statement, Furlan wrote: “This is not how I wanted to start my new year. I wanted to leave this behind and move on with my husband. But every time someone posts a video about me being ‘catfished’ I defend myself because I know the truth.”
She added: “I’d like to move on with my life. I’d like to be left the fk alone. Not hunted from burners and what not. I would happily take a lie detector test. There is no AI video of a guy getting his dk sucked that’s for sure. I know what I saw. I’m not gonna be gaslit any further. Thank you to everyone who has messaged me and has been the subject of a smear campaign when the narcissist gets caught. It’s not fun. Now please let me move on with my life.”
Radke responds
Radke responded via Instagram Stories, accusing Furlan of attempting to manipulate fans:
“You’re messaging f*king parasocial, psychopath fans trying to get them to lie to create false narratives about me. You’re a piece of sht. You wanna talk about who’s narcissistic? You’re narcissistic,” he said.
TMZ reports that Radke alleges the situation escalated further, claiming Furlan appeared outside his home and followed him to a medical appointment, he is now seeking court protection.
At the time of writing, no additional statements have been issued by Radke or his legal team.
