Psycho-Frame are done waiting for a saviour, they’re dragging you through the abyss instead.
The six-headed hardcore nightmare has announced their debut album, ‘Salvation Laughs In The Face Of A Grieving Mother’, landing July 25 via SharpTone Records. If the title alone doesn’t punch you in the chest, the music sure as hell will.
Drawing on old-school American death metal and bleeding it through 2025’s lens of anxiety, decay, and disillusionment, Psycho-Frame’s sound is precision-engineered destruction, equal parts technical and absolutely feral.
‘Blueprints For Idol Genocide’ Is Out Now
To kick the door off its hinges, the band has dropped a new single, ‘Blueprints For Idol Genocide’, along with a video that’s part digital collapse, part apocalyptic sermon. The track is a whiplash blend of djent-slam grooves and demon-throated fury, with frontman Michael Sugars spitting venom about the leeches infecting the scene.
“It’s a song about bad actors in the community,” Sugars says. “I see people moving in weird ways. So, I’ll keep my distance and let God sort ’em out while I do my thing.”
Hard to argue with that logic.

On Your Own, Always
The album’s title isn’t just provocative, it’s a thesis. Guitarist/vocalist Hunter Young says the record is about cutting through the myth of rescue.
“So many people are looking for someone to save them. No one is coming to save you at the end of the day though. That’s where Salvation Laughs In The Face Of A Grieving Mother comes in. You’re on your own.”
It’s bleak, brutal, and honest, just like the record.
