Two decades after rewriting the rules of emo-pop with A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, Panic! At The Disco are revisiting the album that started it all. The band has announced a 20th anniversary box set for release in 2026, following their surprise reunion performance at When We Were Young Festival over the weekend.
Fans who thought the 2023 farewell show marked the end of Panic! were in for a shock when Brendon Urie and company returned to the stage to celebrate their 2005 debut. Now, the nostalgia train isn’t slowing down, the group has confirmed a deluxe reissue of A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, packed with never before heard material and long lost live gems.
The release comes after weeks of cryptic hints, including a password protected site fever20.panicatthedisco.com – teasing fans with a faux motel theme. Visitors were told: “Booking open to the general public on Monday, October 20 at 9am PT. Check in any time you like, but we can’t promise you’ll want to leave.”
Now, we finally know what that mystery was leading to. The anniversary box set includes a remastered version of the debut album, 11 unreleased demos, and 2006’s Live In Denver pressed on vinyl for the first time. Fans can also stream Live In Denver in full on YouTube, premiering October 20.
While the band hasn’t confirmed any future shows, their main website still has a ‘Tour’ tab reading, “There are no upcoming events.” But after their surprise reunion, no one’s ruling out more to come.
