Miami alt rap veterans ¡Mayday! have officially levelled up.
After going fully independent under the “Mayday Music” banner, the group has just dropped their ninth full length album “Just Us“, a title that says everything you need to know about where their heads are at in 2025.
This one isn’t about label pressure, radio singles, or industry noise. Just Us is a pure expression of the squad’s chemistry, grit, and hard earned independence. It’s also the culmination of every single they’ve released since going rogue, each track a piece of the path that brought them here.
On being fully independent
“All the singles we’ve dropped since starting Mayday Music as a fully independent venture has led us to this moment,” the band posted. “This is OURS.”
If you’ve followed ¡Mayday! through their Strange Music days and beyond, you already know what they bring, razor sharp bars, genre blurring production, and that unmistakable Miami bounce. Just Us hits different though, it’s more personal, more focused and more free. No filters, no compromises. Just the music, the message, and the movement.
Blending elements of hip hop, rock, funk, and soul into a sound that’s uniquely ¡Mayday!, lyrically, it’s reflective, resilient, and defiantly self-made, an ode to doing things your own way, even when the path gets muddy.
