Malevolence Drop Off Summer Slaughter 2025, Citing ‘Unforeseen Personal Circumstances’

Share

UK metalcore wrecking crew Malevolence have announced they’ll no longer be joining Hatebreed and the rest of the Summer Slaughter lineup this July, citing personal reasons for the sudden change.

In a statement shared across their socials, the Sheffield bruisers wrote:

“Due to unforeseen personal circumstances, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to step back from this run.”

They added:
“As a band this kind of decision has never been taken lightly, and we want to sincerely apologise to anyone who was looking forward to catching us on this tour.”

The band expressed support for the rest of the Summer Slaughter roster, Hatebreed, Veil Of Maya, The Acacia Strain and more. Encouraging fans to still show up and support:

“We have nothing but love for everyone involved… and encourage you all to go out and support every band on that stage.”

While the specifics of their exit remain under wraps, the tone makes it clear the move wasn’t made lightly. It also throws a wrench into what was shaping up to be one of Malevolence’s most high profile U.S. appearances to date. The band’s 2022 album Malicious Intent cemented them as a rising force in modern heavy music, and their stateside shows have been gaining serious momentum.

As of now, there’s no replacement announced for their slot on the tour. But with dates kicking off later this month, news is likely incoming.

Summer Slaughter 2025 still promises a brutal run of shows and Malevolence are making it clear this is a pause, not a goodbye:

“We hope to be back in the US with you all soon.”
