Linkin Park crashed Twitch last week with an unannounced performance during Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3, turning the streamer’s bedroom into a stage for some of their most iconic tracks.
The nu-metal icons performed five songs live: ‘What I’ve Done’, ‘Heavy Is The Crown’, ‘In The End’, ‘The Emptiness Machine’, and ‘Faint’. The appearance, planned weeks in advance, wasn’t just for shock value. According to MetalInjection, the stunt tied into Cenat’s wider goal of raising funds to help build a school in Nigeria.

Kai Cenat Breaks Twitch Records
For anyone not tuned into Twitch culture, Kai Cenat is one of the platform’s biggest stars, sitting on nearly 20 million followers, he launched Mafiathon 3 as a month long subathon aimed at smashing through the one million active subscriber mark, and he pulled it off. By the end of September, Cenat became the first streamer in Twitch history to reach one million subscribers.
After reaching his milestone, Cenat told fans: “STARTING 2025 I WAS A LITTLE LOST AND DIDN’T KNOW HOW IT WAS GONNA GO BUT FAST FORWARD AND NOW IM HERE 1,000,000 SUBS THANK YOU GOD❤️GOAL IS OFFICIALLY COMPLETE.”
Celebrity Fire Power
The marathon had no shortage of celebrity firepower, and all for a great cause with Mariah Carey, Marlon Wayans, and Selena Gomez all dropping by throughout the month, while brands like eBay, Crocs, State Farm, Bose, and even Snoop Dogg contributed to the tally with bulk subscription giveaways.
Linkin Park’s drop in felt foreshadowed weeks earlier when Twitch drummer Richard Ray (aka officedrummer) guested on Cenat’s channel to cover ‘In The End.’ Still (above). The actual band showing up to blast through a mini set in a bedroom stream though? This was the kind of surreal crossover moment that only happens online in 2025.
