Lil Nas X has taken to social media to speak out on his “terrifying” arrest in Los Angeles last week.

Lil Nas X has returned to social media after being arrested in Los Angeles last week and charged with four felonies. The rapper, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, entered a not guilty plea on Monday following the incident that took place in Studio City.

Police allege Hill was found early Friday morning around 6am, wandering the streets in his underwear and cowboy boots. According to officers, when they attempted to confront him, he “charged” at them. He was arrested and later charged with three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed to Rolling Stone.

In videos published by TMZ, Hill appeared disoriented and incoherent. One clip showed him with an orange traffic cone on his head while speaking to someone off-camera. Before his arrest, Hill had posted a series of unusual updates on Instagram, including unreleased music, mirror selfies, and photos of objects scattered around his home. Some fans speculated at the time that it might be part of a marketing stunt for new music.

Police initially transported Hill to a nearby hospital on suspicion of a possible overdose. After several hours he was taken into custody and spent the weekend in jail. On Monday, a judge set his bail at $75,000 and ordered him to either attend four Narcotics Anonymous meetings a week or participate in an outpatient treatment program.

Hill addressed his followers in an Instagram Story after being released. “Your girl is gonna be OK, y’all,” he said. “OK? She’s gonna be all right. Shit.” He added, “That was fucking terrifying. That was terrifying. That was a terrifying last four days. But your girl is gonna be all right.”
