Journey have announced their farewell tour, The Final Frontier Tour 2026, with 60 North American arena dates kicking off in February. Founding member Neal Schon calls it both a thank you and a new beginning.
After more than five decades of anthems, arena lights, and eternal singalongs, Journey are gearing up for their last ride. The band has officially announced The Final Frontier Tour 2026, marking the beginning of their farewell run across North America.
Kicking off in February 2026, the first leg will cover 60 arena dates across the United States, wrapping up in early July. While a second leg hasn’t been locked in, founding guitarist Neal Schon has hinted that the tour will stretch well into 2027, officially closing the book on one of rock’s longest running acts.
The farewell announcement follows weeks of speculation after Schon revealed that longtime keyboardist Jonathan Cain planned to leave the band following a 2026–2027 run. Now, both musicians have confirmed that this will be the group’s final chapter.
“As its founding member, I carry the Journey torch to this day, wherever I go,” said Schon. “While this marks a farewell to one powerful chapter of the Journey we’ve shared, I want everyone to know I’m not done. Music is still burning strong inside me, and there are new creative horizons ahead.”
Cain added, “It’s been an incredible ride. We’ve shared our music with millions, and this tour is about gratitude, connection, and one last chance to feel that magic together.”
Journey’s endurance has been legendary, even after Steve Perry’s departure, the band kept rolling with Arnel Pineda on vocals since 2008, keeping that unmistakable sound alive for new generations.
Ticket sales for The Final Frontier Tour 2026 go live on November 14 at 10 a.m. CST, no international dates have been announced yet, so American fans might be the first, and last, to see Journey take their final bow.
