Jason Richardson Exits All That Remains To Focus On Solo Career

Share

Jason Richardson leaves All That Remains after seven years of shredding riffs and keeping the pulse alive post Oli Herbert.

Richardson joined the metalcore stalwarts in 2018 following the tragic loss of founding guitarist Herbert. His technical precision and blistering speed brought a fresh jolt to the band’s sound, culminating in his standout performance on their latest 2025 LP, Antifragile. Now, he’s stepping away to fully invest in his solo journey, and the split sounds as clean as his sweeps.

In a statement posted to social media, Richardson wrote:

“All That Remains and I have decided to amicably part ways… I’m incredibly proud of the record we made together and grateful for the relationships I’ve built during my time with the band… With everything happening in my own career and new opportunities that I have ahead, I need to prioritize what makes the most sense for my long-term future.

He also teased upcoming projects with “updates soon” and shared that he’s “feeling very optimistic rn”, words that should have guitar nerds and prog-metal heads alike frothing with anticipation.

All That Remains responded with their own note of respect and support:

“All That Remains and Jason Richardson have decided to part ways as Jason focuses on his own projects. We love him and are grateful for the time, music and memories we’ve shared. We wish him nothing but success and happiness moving forward. We’re so excited to see what he has in store for the music world and we’re absolutely sure it is going to blow our collective minds.”

Antifragile

The band’s new album Antifragile is out now and marks Richardson’s final recorded contribution. Where the band goes from here, and who steps in to fill that sonic void, remains to be seen.

For Richardson, the future looks full of promise, tapped frets and probably a few brain melting solos.

Stream Antifragile now and stay tuned for whatever Jason’s cooking up next.
