Aaron Pauley’s cinematic metalcore unit returns with layered chaos and zero apologies.
After nearly a decade in the shadows, Jamie’s Elsewhere aren’t just back, they’re channelling volatile inner transformation into the kind of cathartic metalcore that hits like an alchemical reaction mid explosion.
Their new EP, titled ‘Alchemical’, drops June 20 via SharpTone Records, and it’s already shaping up to be their most ambitious release yet. To mark the announcement, the band have unleashed a new single, ‘Traveler’, and it’s a razor edged barrage of high stakes melody, pummelling riffs, and gut wrenching vocals, complete with a frantic, visually jarring music video!

Heavy, Cinematic, and Concept-Driven
With Aaron Pauley (Of Mice & Men) front and centre on bass and vocals, backed by Matt Scarpelli (guitar), Chance Medeiros (bass), and Mike Spearman (keys), Jamie’s Elsewhere are tapping deep into their conceptual roots.
‘Alchemical’ promises a sonic journey that threads cinematic electronics, emotional post hardcore grit, and a metaphysical narrative exploring transformation, identity, and self realisation through chaos. Think of it as a coming of age ritual soundtracked by thunder.
“We wanted to take listeners somewhere that felt both familiar and new,” says Pauley. “The sound is still Jamie’s Elsewhere, but there are elements we’ve never explored before.” Then, with blunt clarity: “Sh*t’s rad. Just listen to it.”
The Band’s Legacy, Reignited
Formed in 2005 and best known for scene staples like Guidebook for Sinners Turned Saints and They Said a Storm Was Coming, Jamie’s Elsewhere were long considered a cult gem in the post hardcore sphere. After laying dormant for years, they re emerged with 2023’s Paradise EP, a reintroduction that hinted at bigger things ahead.
‘Alchemical’ is the next phase. It’s not just a return, it’s a rebirth.
