When GWAR and Insane Clown Posse collide, subtlety isn’t on the menu, and neither is restraint.
A newly released episode of Hot Ones Versus throws Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope against Blöthar the Berserker and Balsac The Jaws Of Death in a punishment heavy showdown fueled by trivia, physical challenges, and wings soaked in The Last Dab.
The result is exactly what you’d expect, escalating chaos, genuine discomfort, and moments where the past comes back to bite (just a little).
One of the episode’s standout moments arrives when Shaggy 2 Dope is asked about his infamous 2018 onstage dropkick attempt (below) aimed at Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, a moment that went viral almost instantly and briefly ignited tension between the two camps.
Shaggy didn’t deflect or downplay it.
“Well, alcohol was involved. That was done as a work — [a] wrestling work dropkick — I wasn’t actually trying to dropkick him for real. I don’t know why in my drunk brain, I just figured that he was also a wrestler and he’d know to ‘sell’ the move.”
That assumption didn’t play out as planned.
“He didn’t sell it… How he sold it was their security came out and choked me out onstage and dragged me out. I’ve apologized a million times over since. I feel like a dumbass of course for doing that sh*t.”
The incident occurred on October 6, 2018, during Rock Allegiance in New Jersey, Limp Bizkit had just finished their cover of George Michael’s ‘Faith’ when Shaggy rushed the stage.
The kick narrowly missed Durst, security intervened immediately, and the footage spread across the internet within hours.
GWAR back on the road
Meanwhile, GWAR are looking firmly ahead, with the band recently announcing ‘The Gor Gor Strikes Back Tour’, a major US run launching March 19 in Richmond, Virginia, and wrapping April 29 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Soulfly will provide direct support, with King Parrot opening every night.
Between revisiting old scars and preparing new carnage, the episode serves as a reminder that chaos ages well, especially when it’s self-inflicted.
