Fit For A King are not chasing radio spins and they’re done playing it safe. With their eighth album Lonely God set to drop August 1 via Solid State Records, the Texas wrecking crew is charging into a brand new era which is louder, meaner, and more unfiltered than ever.
Tracked in Los Angeles with Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox), Lonely God isn’t just another chapter in the band’s catalogue, it’s a mission statement. The band just wrapped a stacked North American tour with Killswitch Engage, Kublai Khan TX, and Frozen Soul, and now they’re keeping the pressure on with the release of the album’s pulverising title track.
The video for ‘Lonely God’ is live now, and it’s exactly what longtime Fit For A King fans fiend for: meaty riffs, throat-shredding vocals, bruising grooves, and just enough industrial filth to coat your speakers in rust.

But this time, there’s a darker truth buried under the chaos.
“You may have all the power and be a ‘God,’ but it’s a lonely spot,” says Ryan Kirby. “You’re trading love and connection for money and control. The world despises you.”
That bleakness bleeds into the full record. According to Kirby, this is the first time in years the band wrote without a f**king agenda. No TikTok strategy. No radio formulas. Just five brothers chasing the sound they love.
And it shows. With features from Lochie Keogh (Alpha Wolf), Landon Tewers, and Chris Motionless, the band is doubling down on heaviness and heart.
Already known for their metalcore staples (‘The Price of Agony’, ‘Breaking the Mirror’), Fit For A King are levelling up again and the world better be ready.

Lonely God drops August 1.
