Metalcore visionaries ERRA have returned with their first new material since last year’s CURE, and it cuts deeper than ever. The Alabama quintet dropped the video for their latest single ‘Gore of Being’, a surgically crafted vision that tackles grief and the fragile nature of existence.
This one hits differently. Guitarist Clint Tustin brought the initial idea to the table, his first song writing contribution since joining the band. What began as an instrumental, evolved into something far more personal after a conversation revealed eerie parallels between the track’s tone and the sudden loss of Tustin’s father. That unintentional synchronicity reframed the song as a kind of catharsis, adding emotional heft to its technical weight.
‘Gore of Being’ balances ERRA’s signature blend of clinical precision and raw introspection. The guitar work is labyrinthine but never cold. The dual vocals from J.T. Cavey and Jesse Cash? They remain as gripping as ever, brutality and beauty colliding with intent.

The band aren’t done yet. A second new single, ‘Echo Sonata’, is set to land later this month. While there’s no album confirmed yet, it’s clear ERRA are gearing up for something bigger!
