Former Asking Alexandria vocalist Dennis Stoff has resurfaced with some major heat, publicly accusing the band of stiffing him on $5 million in royalties and tearing into Danny Worsnop’s Warped Tour 2025 performance in the process.
Stoff, who fronted the band for their 2016 album ‘The Black’, took to Instagram to unload. “I couldn’t ignore the Asking Alexandra situation that’s circling around the internet right now,” he wrote, thanking fans before launching into a savage review of Danny Worsnop’s recent live vocals. “I’ve seen the videos, I laughed my tits off.”
He went on to claim Worsnop’s set was riddled with backing tracks and lacking effort, calling it a weak showing for a band fans paid to see live. Stoff even posted side by side video comparisons of his own performances vs. recent AA sets. Though some fans noted he cherry picked clips to favour himself!
Still, the bigger bombshell came later. Stoff says he’s never been paid royalties for The Black, alleging that Asking Alexandra and their team never sent statements or honoured his contract. “This includes revenue from song authorship, sales, streams, deals, show tickets, performance guarantees and worldwide merchandise sales,” he wrote. “I’ve sent countless emails since 2016 and been ignored.”
Stoff claims he stayed silent for nearly a decade, hoping to avoid drama, but says the band swept his exit and earnings under the rug. “I simply can’t help but share the truth with you,” he wrote. “I love you all dearly.”
Fans are divided, some say the $5M figure doesn’t add up for one album, others think Stoff should take it to court instead of airing it on social. So far, Asking Alexandria haven’t responded.
And until they do, this feud’s far from over.
