Cypress Hill are bringing the smoke across the States this August with their freshly announced ‘Dank Daze of Summer’ tour, and they’re not coming alone.
The California trailblazers are rolling deep with Atmosphere, Lupe Fiasco, and The Pharcyde in tow making this one of the most stacked summer hip hop lineups you’ll see outside of a festival. The tour kicks off August 8 in St. Augustine, FL, and will roll through cities across the East Coast and Midwest before landing at Reggae Rise Up Oregon on August 30.
This is far from a legacy victory lap. Cypress Hill are still commanding stages with the same weed fueled fire they lit in the early ’90s, bringing their signature mix of psych rap, funk grooves and political grit to a new generation. Expect full throttle renditions of ‘Insane in the Brain’, ‘Hits from the Bong’, and ‘Rock Superstar’ alongside some deeper cuts that’ll hit longtime fans square in the chest.
The addition of Atmosphere’s blue collar bars, Lupe’s razor sharp lyricism, and The Pharcyde’s elastic funk makes this tour a real cross-section of hip hop evolution, from the golden era to the underground, and everything in between.
