Max and Iggor Cavalera aren’t just dusting off the old war machine, they’re firing it up and taking Chaos A.D. on the road for a full blown US headline tour this fall. That’s right, the brothers behind Sepultura’s most politically potent record are bringing the chaos back! Playing the 1993 genre shifter in its entirety across the States this September and October.
And they’re not doing it alone!
Industrial metal legends Fear Factory are jumping in for the ride, fresh off a rebirth with new frontman Milo Silvestro and a new album in the pipeline. Expect double kicks, dystopian screams and a night stacked with riffs that defined the ’90s and still hit like a f**king freight train.
The tour kicks off at Louder Than Life on 18 September, followed by a one off support date for Slayer in Hershey, before the chaos truly erupts on 21 September in Liverpool, NY. From there, it’s a 20 date rampage through the country, ending 18 October in Dallas, TX. Select dates also see Cavalera joining forces with Lamb of God, because apparently this tour wasn’t heavy enough already.
For diehard Sepultura heads, this is a rare unfiltered shot of nostalgia and fury. Chaos A.D. was the record that redefined the band’s sound, less thrash, more tribal groove, all defiance. Songs like ‘Refuse/Resist’ and ‘Territory’ aren’t just metal anthems, they’re battle cries.
