Former Turnstile Guitarist Brady Ebert Levels Allegations At Band In Public Social Media Blow Up

Former Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert has resurfaced publicly with a string of harsh accusations aimed at his former bandmates, reigniting the long simmering questions around his 2022 exit from the Baltimore hardcore heavyweights.

The flare up started after Turnstile shared an Instagram story featuring a sign reading “abolish ICE”, which was later reshared by Jesea Lee, Ebert jumped into the comments and immediately dismissed the band’s political messaging as empty performance (as per Metal Injection).

“Lmao, no one in turnstile cares at all about ethics or social issues in general, they’re just pandering to their audience,” Ebert wrote.

The claims escalated quickly when Ebert alleged misconduct tied to one of Turnstile’s earliest benefit shows, accusing frontman Brendan Yates of taking money that was supposedly meant for charity.

“At turnstiles first free show they did they claimed all proceeds go to healthcare for the homeless, we raised 10000 dollars but i watched Brendan steal 4000 dollars from that and claim he needed to ‘pay the merch bill’ which was false.”

The comments immediately kicked up renewed discussion around Ebert’s departure, which has long been viewed as contentious, around the time of the split, reports circulated that Turnstile drummer Daniel Fang had filed a restraining order against Ebert, though few concrete details have ever been made public.

Ebert addressed that situation directly

“Also my friends filed a restraining order and guess what, they had two laywers with them abd I showed up to court bt myself and the judge DENIED the restraining order,” he wrote (spelling errors left in).

“Because there was no statute in the laws about what qualifies for a restraining order that they were able to meet the requirements of.”

He continued:

“In other words they had no reason to file it and it was all over text messages which they showed the judge and the judge agreed with me without me even having to testify so next time before u spread bullshit misinformation say that shit to my face.”

As of publication, Turnstile and their representatives have not responded publicly to Ebert’s allegations, with no independent verification currently available, the situation remains unresolved.
