Bad Omens Tease New Single ‘Impose’ With Cryptic Clip

Share

Bad Omens are back to stirring the pot. The band dropped a teaser yesterday for a new track titled Impose, paired with the date September 10, hinting that fans won’t have to wait long to hear it in full.

The clip is as opaque as it is eerie, a woman sits on a dimly lit staircase, smoking and speaking what sounds like Slovenian. There’s no music or big reveal, it’s just mood and mystery. It’s the kind of teaser that plays into Bad Omens’ habit of bending expectations, giving just enough to start speculation without confirming anything outright.

If Impose does arrive as expected, it’ll mark the band’s second new song in as many months. In August, Bad Omens shared Specter, a track that featured Sons of Anarchy actor Ryan Hurst. That release was the first fresh, non collaborative music from the band since their 2022 breakout album The Death of Peace of Mind.

That record not only took them to global prominence but racked up staggering numbers: more than 2.7 billion streams worldwide, a Platinum certified number one radio single in Just Pretend, plus Gold plaques for Like A Villain and the title track. In 2024, the group expanded the album’s universe with Concrete Jungle [The OST], leaning further into experimentation.

Still, singer Noah Sebastian has kept expectations in check. On State of the Scene’s podcast back in July, he admitted the new Bad Omens album wasn’t finished yet. That hasn’t stopped fans from reading these singles as a breadcrumb trail toward something bigger, whether that’s an album announcement soon or just one off releases remains to be seen.

Other bands have proven quick turnarounds are possible, Spite announced their new record will be out October 31, only months after wrapping it in the studio. Bad Omens move on their own clock though, and if Impose is anything like their past work, the wait is unlikely to disappoint.
