Bad Omens are teasing their new single Dying To Love ahead of its October 22 release, following Specter and Impose. Noah Sebastian hints at multiple albums in progress.
Bad Omens, the Virginia metalcore powerhouse are back again, this time teasing their next single, Dying To Love, set to arrive on October 22.
The band revealed the track alongside a moody teaser clip that hints at an intense new music video, paired with the caption: “Heaven isn’t quite what it seems.” It’s a line that feels like a lyrical punch, and possibly a glimpse into the song’s darker emotional core.
This consistent release schedule has fans speculating that the band are rolling out songs from a larger upcoming project. Frontman Noah Sebastian recently addressed the rumours, explaining how he’s been sitting on a substantial collection of material and is still deciding what shape it might take.
“We have a lot of songs that could make more than one record,” he said. “The biggest hurdle I’ve had with it is the spaces between [being] creative and then going back on tour and getting back into performance mode and travel mode, and what that does to me and how I have to prepare for that.”
He continued:
“Also creating a live show; we made a whole new one before we did Mayhem Festival, and that took a lot of time and creative energy. So it’s just the matter of bouncing back and forth between writing and trying to pick back up where you left off, and also being inspired by new things before you’re wrapping up the thing that you started.”
Sebastian added that he’s considering a different approach this time around.
“Maybe I’m gonna make more than one record, or just one really large record that tells more of a story about why the record sounds the way it does. I don’t know, I’m still playing with it, and I’m still trying to not get stressed out about it, and just enjoy the process.”
