Swedish metal mischief makers AVATAR have kicked the doors off their next era with the release of ‘Captain Goat’, a chaotic devil drenched anthem that doubles as a manifesto and a myth.
This is their first new material since 2023’s Dance Devil Dance and it’s every bit as unhinged as you have come to expect, think evil cabaret meets underworld sermon. Delivered with theatrical flair and pit worthy groove!
The ‘Captain Goat’ video drips in folklore and ritualistic madness, with Eckerström teasing “Any day I get to see the boys undress for a part is a good day for all of us.” Fair enough!
Touring With The Greats And Aiming For Total Takeover
Avatar are set for a total takeover, embarking on a massive U.S. headline tour this fall which kicks off November 5 in Phoenix and tears across the country until December. On top of that, they’ve locked in support slots for Iron Maiden and Metallica, including their biggest show to date in Mexico City.
With new music on the way and a two year touring calendar locked in, it’s safe to say “AVATAR aren’t just back, they’re building their next twisted empire”.
