When Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry link arms with Yungblud, you know it’s not just another glossy collab, it’s a generational collision. The trio have announced a new single, ‘My Only Angel’, and given fans a taste with a brief preview that already hints at both grit and grandeur.
The announcement comes hot off their joint performance at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, where the unlikely crew paid homage to Ozzy Osbourne. Yungblud charged in first with a ragged run through ‘Crazy Train’ before shifting into Sabbath’s ‘Changes’. Tyler and Perry then took their turn with ‘Mama, I’m Coming Home’, a moment that swelled into a full blown duet with Yungblud. The tribute ended in flames, literally, before Yungblud screamed “Ozzy forever!” into the mic.
Backstage, Tyler teased fans with a sly grin and the words, “We’ve got a secret,” while hugging Yungblud. That secret’s now out.
This isn’t the first time Yungblud has reimagined Sabbath’s legacy. At July’s Back To The Beginning concert, he led a supergroup featuring Nuno Bettencourt, Frank Bello, Sleep Token’s II, and Adam Wakeman, once again tackling ‘Changes’. It’s becoming something of a calling card, a bridge between eras, with Yungblud stamping his mark on sacred ground.
Diverse Influences
Born Dominic Harrison in Yorkshire, Yungblud has never played by the rulebook. His path from teenage outsider to boundary smashing artist was carved with the same uncompromising energy as the acts that shaped him, The Clash, Arctic Monkeys, and even N.W.A. His debut single dropped in 2017, but he’s since turned his ethos into a full movement. Teaming with Aerosmith, one of rock’s most enduring forces, feels like both a curveball and a natural evolution.

‘My Only Angel’ is set to drop soon. Whether it lands closer to Aerosmith’s classic swagger or Yungblud’s rebellious snarl, one thing’s certain, it’s a must listen!
