Three decades after causing chaos on the original Warped Tour, Sublime are coming home.
With Jakob Nowell fronting the mic in his late father’s place, the band will headline the sold out Long Beach stop. It’s set to take place July 26–27! With the addition being confirmed via Warped’s socials on June 25, teasing: “you’ve been patiently waiting your turn, long beach 🤭 as requested, Sublime coming your way.”
The announcement follows weeks of speculation. Fans clocked a few redacted “surprise” slots on the poster and smelled the smoke. Now it’s official and fittingly, Long Beach gets the full circle moment.
Back in 1995, Sublime were early adopters of the Vans Warped chaos, sharing the first ever tour with No Doubt, Lagwagon, Good Riddance and Sick of It All. Their run wasn’t smooth sailing though. Drummer Bud Gaugh once told Time, “Our daily regimen was wake up, drink, drink more, play, and then drink a lot more… Then we brought the dog out and he bit a few skaters, and that was the last straw.” Yes, Lou Dog got them booted, for a week!
Full Circle
Now, in 2025, that same misfit energy is back. This time cleaner, tighter, but no less chaotic. Alongside Jakob Nowell are OGs Gaugh and Eric Wilson, the latter telling Billboard he’s “happy to be back on the Warped Tour again after all these years.”
Gaugh added: “This has come full circle now with Sublime starting on the very first Warped, and now Warped is back together with Sublime at the center. Expect nothing less than utter chaos in Long Beach.”
Tickets are fully sold out, but fans can still join the official waitlist via WarpedTour.com. If you missed out, you better pray to the ska punk gods, it’s going to be an unforgettable experience. Long Beach is about to gooff!
