Boonaroo 2025 cancelled due to extreme weather. What was supposed to be one of the biggest weekends on the US festival calendar has ended in chaos.
Boonaroo 2025 has been completely cancelled after extreme weather battered the site. Torrential rain and violent storms turned the Tennessee grounds into a swam. Leaving the organisers no other choice but to shut it all down in the name of safety.
By Saturday morning, the festival site looked more like a disaster zone than the iconic party fans had planned for. Campgrounds were flooded, cars were stuck axle deep in mud and the stages which are usually the heart of Bonnaroo’s electric atmosphere, stood silent as evacuation orders came through. The decision came after a night of severe storms that made continuing impossible. Organisers citing ‘dangerous conditions’ for fans, artists and crew.
For tens of thousands who travelled from all corners of the country, the cancellation was a brutal blow. Many had been clinging to the hope that the weather would break, that the spirit of Bonnaroo would power through. Instead, fans found themselves packing up sodden tents, salvaging what gear they could and navigating the gridlock of a mass exit.
It wasn’t all doom and gloom, those who made it in before the hammer fell caught some wild performances, with Friday night delivering a taste of what could’ve been. Unfortunately, any momentum was drowned by Mother Nature, who clearly had other plans for the weekend.
Organisers have promised updates soon regarding refunds and next steps. Meanwhile, socials are flooded with shots of drowned gear, bogged cars and fans making the best of the mud soaked mess. Bonnaroo 2025 will be remembered as the year the festival fell victim to the storm.
