Slipknot’s Shawn “Clown” Crahan Drops Custom Minecraft Realm ‘Vernearth’

Share

Slipknot’s Shawn “Clown” Crahan has rolled out one of his most unexpected creations yet, a fully customised Minecraft realm called Vernearth.

It’s built from the ground up to merge survival gameplay, PvP combat, creative building, and hardcore seasonal challenges into one sprawling digital universe.

Vernearth launches with four core modes:

Oblivion, the main survival world; a dedicated PvP/Event server; a creative Plotworld; and a rotating Challenge Mode designed to punish even seasoned players. Not everything will go live at once, but the structure is already there, and it’s clear Crahan isn’t treating this like a novelty side project.

At the heart of the realm is Oblivion, a corrupted landscape shaped around Crahan’s darker artistic instincts, think twisted biomes, faction controlled territories, and hidden capital cities like Raziel, Seniomsed, and The City of Eternal.

It feels less like a typical Minecraft server and more like a fever dream built by someone who’s spent decades warping the boundaries of performance art, Slipknot fans will be hunting for easter eggs instantly.

Players looking for bloodshed can jump into Vernearth’s PvP arenas, where modes like Last Man Standing offer a currency called War, tradable for cosmetics and gear. Meanwhile, builders get their own refuge in Plotworld, complete with monthly contests and a Hall of Fame for standout creations.

Then there’s Challenge Mode, a brutal, 45 day seasonal gauntlet with Slipknot flavored themes and permadeath, with one life per season and if you make it to the end? You’ll walk away with rare titles, cosmetics, and a place in the Hall of Heroes.

Behind the scenes

Crahan’s team built Vernearth on custom infrastructure rather than plug and play server kits, the goal isn’t just grinding mobs, it’s long form storytelling, shared discoveries, and cinematic moments built by the players themselves.

Vernearth is officially open, and early explorers are already digging into Crahan’s nightmare meets sandbox vision, whether you’re here for the Slipknot tie ins or the hardcore Minecraft engineering, it’s shaping up to be one of the wildest crossovers the game has seen.
