Look the hell out, a Beavis and Butt-Head Call of Duty crossover is happening! In the latest episode of Call of Duty jumps the shark, Beavis and Butt-Head are parachuting into Warzone and Black Ops 6. This is a part of the Season 04 Reloaded update, which is set to launch June 26 or thereabouts.
Yes, the iconic 1990s slackers who once got high on fire and nachos are now rocking military gear and ready to join your squad! The cursed crossover was announced via social media and will drop as purchasable Operator Bundles. Pricing is still under wraps, but you know it won’t be cheap!
Promo art shows more than just the dynamic dumbass duo. Hinting that the whole Mike Judge cartoon multiverse might be gearing up for deployment! Whether that’s more skins or just cosmetic chaos remains to be seen.
This is just the latest in Activision’s steady drift from gritty realism to meme tier mayhem. In the past year alone we’ve seen The Boys, Gundam, TMNT and even a literal bacon skin. This might top them all in terms of sheer WTF energy though!
The internet? Already on fire. One Redditor said it best: “I definitely did not see Beavis and Butt-Head getting military themed outfits in this game.” Another added, “Unironically more MilSim than half the roster.”
They’re kitted out like real soldiers, minus the IQ points, yet still look unmistakably cartoonish. It’s weird. It’s absurd. But honestly at this point, it’s on brand.
Will the skins transfer to Black Ops 7? No clue. But expect the in game voice lines to be peak dumbass: “Heh heh… he said ‘Duty.’”
