Director Osgood Perkins returns with the creepy new trailer for Keeper, starring Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland, horror heads prepare for a dark November release.

The trailer for Osgood Perkins latest nightmare, ‘Keeper’ is here and yes, it looks like a full on horror event. After making waves with The Monkey and Longlegs, Perkins is staking his claim in the genre’s upper ranks. The new film, featuring Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland, follows a couple on an anniversary getaway in a remote cabin where things go badly, and deeply out there.

The plot is deceptively simple: Liz (Maslany) and Malcolm (Sutherland) retreat for a romantic weekend, Malcolm suddenly leaves, leaving Liz alone. The cabin’s past then creeps in, with the unseen becoming seen and secrets unfolding. Although the set up is familiar, the trailer promises something less cheap shock and more creeping dread, with atmosphere built to linger.

No stranger to unsettling

Perkins of course is no stranger to unsettling, he’s moved from the subtle terror of The Blackcoat’s Daughter to the viral frenzy of Longlegs, and now Keeper appears to land somewhere between brutal and refined. The visuals in the trailer hint at warped time, distorted love and maybe even layered reality.

As for release, America sees Keeper hitting theatres on 14 November 2025, that puts it squarely in the busy end of year horror schedule, and with Perkins behind the wheel, anticipation is high. Horror fans already know to follow the breadcrumbs.

If you’re into horror that doesn’t just hit you but burrows under your skin, mark this one. Kristen wiseguys may scoff at cabin in the woods tropes, but Perkins has proven he knows how to tilt familiar into nightmare. The trailer doesn’t reveal all, but maybe that’s the point. The best horrors leave you with questions, Keeper looks like it will give you those and then some.
