Welcome To Rockville hit its 15th anniversary this past weekend by turning Daytona International Speedway into absolute sensory overload once again, drawing a staggering 210,000 fans across four days of punk, metal and hard rock fun.
With more than 160 bands spread across five stages, Florida’s self proclaimed ‘World Center Of Rock’ looked less like a festival and more like a full scale temporary city built entirely on distortion, sweat and exhausted security staff.
Headliners Guns N’ Roses, Foo Fighters, Bring Me The Horizon and My Chemical Romance led the charge, but, Rockville 2026 felt defined more by its surprise moments and weird collisions than just the big font names.
Surprise Moments
A Day To Remember blindsided fans with a pop up set near the Kona Big Wave Halfpipe, digging into tracks from 2007’s ‘For Those Who Have Heart’, Breaking Benjamin debuted ‘Something Wicked’ live for the first time while also introducing new drummer Brian Medeiros and bringing out Flyleaf’s Lacey Sturm for ‘Dear Agony’.
Then there was Ice Nine Kills, who somehow escalated their horror obsession even further by debuting ‘Twisting The Knife’ from ‘Scream 7’ alongside internet personality MAPHRA and a full community orchestra, because of course they did.

Surreal moments
One of the weekend’s most surreal moments came from DragonForce, who performed with new co-vocalist Alissa White-Gluz for the first time, adding another layer to an already overloaded ineup.
Elsewhere, Parkway Drive delivered their only US performance of 2026, Sepultura played their final Florida show, and Sullivan King pushed Welcome To Rockville into full sleep deprivation territory with the latest set in festival history at 1am.
Rockville leaned hard into spectacle, the festival launched Blood4Blood, a crossover event combining bare knuckle fighting and live heavy music featuring Slaughter To Prevail frontman Alex Terrible stepping into the ring before performances from Black Label Society, Crowbar and Malevolence.
There’s a reason Rockville has become one of the defining American heavy festivals over the past decade, it doesn’t just book bands, it creates moments people immediately start mythologising online before they’ve even left the car park.
