Dinosaur Pile-Up Channel Survival Mode On New Single ‘Sick Of Being Down’ And Announce US Tour With A Day To Remember

Alt rock wrecking crew Dinosaur Pile-Up have dropped their latest single, ‘Sick Of Being Down,’ the latest taste of their upcoming record I’ve Felt Better, landing August 22 via Mascot Records.

Listen to ‘Sick Of Being Down’ here!

Six years on from their last full length, frontman Matt Bigland has clawed his way back from hospital beds and existential spirals. Channelling that pain into three minutes of fuzz drenched garage punk! This one isn’t just cathartic, it’s confrontational. Bigland’s lyrics wrestle with post traumatic mental fallout, cyclical lows and the messiness of self medication. ‘Sick Of Being Down’ feels like a howl from someone who lived through the dark and is daring it to come back.

“It’s essentially a post traumatic existential breakdown articulated as a 3 minute garage punk rock song,” Bigland explains. The lyric video, equal parts surreal and nostalgic! Splicing vintage film footage into a disjointed fever dream that captures the chaos perfectly.

After returning earlier this year with ‘Bout To Lose It’ and ‘Big Dogs’, Dinosaur Pile-Up’s comeback feels more like a firebombing than a re entry. Their new album I’ve Felt Better looks set to be their most empowered work to date, raw, unfiltered and powerful.

To top it off, Dinosaur Pile-Up are hitting the road across the U.S. this October and November, joining forces with A Day To Remember and Yellowcard for a massive run of arena dates. From California to Texas, it’s going to be loud, loaded and deeply unwell but in all the right ways.
