Columbus, Ohio is about to get steamrolled. Sonic Temple Festival has dropped the first wave of its 2026 line-up, and instead of spreading across genres, the organisers went all in on deathcore.
Every single band announced so far is built to cave your chest in, setting the tone for what’s shaping up to be one of the heaviest editions yet.
Who’s Playing?
Leading the charge is Lorna Shore, arguably the genre’s current flagship band. They’ll be bringing the theatrical brutality of their latest record, I Feel the Everblack Festering With Me, to the historic Crew Stadium. Get ready for Will Ramos to turn that stage into a guttural battlefield.
Backing them up is a mix of new blood and battle-hardened veterans. Paleface Swiss are still riding their wave of notoriety as one of Europe’s most punishing exports, while Attila return with their trademark heaviness and controversy. Chelsea Grin keep the deathcore torch burning with their relentless low end assault, and Brand of Sacrifice, a band that sounds like they crawled out of an anime boss fight, will be there to melt minds. Rounding out the first six is Disembodied Tyrant, a younger act who prove deathcore’s pipeline of brutality isn’t drying up anytime soon.
When and Where?
Sonic Temple runs 14–17 May 2026 at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Four days of riffs, breakdowns, and likely more circle pits than anyone’s knees can handle. More line-up reveals are promised in the coming weeks, but the opening volley makes one thing clear: deathcore is no longer the side attraction, it’s the main event.
