Ho99o9 Go ‘Upside Down’ With New Single, Announce Album Tomorrow We Escape

Share

Ho99o9 (pronounced horror) have just dropped a glitchy, throat grabbing brand new single called ‘Upside Down’, the lead cut from their upcoming third studio album Tomorrow We Escape. The new full length is heading your way, Monday September 29 via their label home.

The track fuses warbled guitars, disoriented melodies and a bassline that feels like it’s dragging your spine through gravel. The accompanying video lands in a dystopian vision where water is contraband and the Chinese Yuan rules the world. It’s frantic, it’s off-kilter, it’s Ho99o9 at full burn.

The new album ‘Tomorrow We Escape’ is being pitched as their most emotional record to date. Not in a softening sense, but in the way that bleeding out becomes catharsis. “This time it’s about preservation,” says theOGM. “We’ve always come from a place of rage, but this one leans more personal. Everybody has a struggle. That was our focus, finding the motivation to survive it.”

Formed in New Jersey and now embedded in Los Angeles chaos, Ho99o9 have built a rep as one of the most volatile live acts in the game. Their 2017 debut United States of Horror blew open the doors, but it’s their genre mutilating approach featuring equal parts digital punk, industrial chaos, noise rap, and hardcore, that’s made them an underground mainstay.

Over the years, they’ve torn stages apart with Slipknot, Korn, Denzel Curry and Rob Zombie, just to name a few. As well as dropping collabs with Corey Taylor, The Prodigy, JPEGMAFIA and Ghostemane. Jack Black even popped up in their KULT CABLE series.

Tomorrow We Escape isn’t just an album title, it’s a freaking mission statement. The chaos is coming, get ready and mark that release date of September 29 on your calendars!
