Good Charlotte are officially back. The Maryland kings of pop punk defiance have dropped a brand new single called ‘Rejects’, alongside a slick video that cuts straight to the core of what made them household names in the early 2000s, melodic hooks, outsider anthems and not much interest in playing it safe.
The track comes off their freshly announced eighth album, ‘Motel Du Cap’, set to land August 8, 2025. It’s their first full length in seven years, and if ‘Rejects’ is anything to go by, this won’t be a quiet comeback. This is Good Charlotte going full circle, returning to their raw, bratty edge with enough polish to prove they’ve still got it.
Directed by Erik Rojas and Lenna Onto, the video feels like a love letter to the kids they used to be and the fans still clinging to that same misfit energy. There’s no nostalgia grab here, just the sound of a band refusing to fade out quietly.

Whether you grew up blasting ‘Hold On’ from a burned CD or found your way to Good Charlotte through playlists and hand me down hoodies, Motel Du Cap looks set to bridge the band’s past and future. It’s not about reinvention, it’s about reclamation. The same spirit that gave a generation permission to feel like outsiders is still alive here, louder and more defiant than ever.
This isn’t a comeback, it’s a continuation. One thing is for sure, ‘It’s freaking cool to have the Good Charlotte boys back.
