Built on razor wire guitar lines, relentless grooves and a monster breakdown that begs for a circle pit, Your Flowers is Excide at their most raw and dynamic. The band describe it as “all about feeling deceived, manipulated and taken advantage of.” They add: “We put so much of ourselves into what we create and only ever want it to have a fair shot out in your world. This single is the first piece of something huge we’ve been building. It survived a lot of obstacles to see daylight. More’s coming soon.”
Excide have been grinding since 2020, carving out a space with their fearless fusion of ‘90s soaked hardcore and off kilter post hardcore aggression. From the Two of a Kind and Actualize / Radiation Reel era to 2022’s Deliberate Revolver debut, they’ve earned props from Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, Revolver and NO ECHO. Now signed to Sharptone Records, they’re entering their next chapter and Your Flowers is just the first strike.
